Cost of living: Full list of Aldi, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Lidl turkey prices as costs soar aft

The price of a Christmas dinner turkey has increased by as much as 45 per cent compared to last year as some 1.6 million of the birds have died or been culled due to the bird flu outbreak.

The price of a Morrisons British large whole turkey jumped 45.3 per cent, while their medium turkey increased in price by 41.6 per cent, reports The Grocer magazine. Frozen turkeys have also climbed in price, with Lidl's Braemoor medium British turkey crown seeing a 30.8 per cent increase in price from £12.99 to £16.99, according to data from supermarket analysts Assosia.
